Nature has a way of registering every human birth that happens on earth – whether at night or during the day. Every time a new baby is born – including the day you were born – a snapshot is created in the celestial sky, and this snapshot constitutes what is popularly called one’s astrological birth chart or natal chart.

But more on this in a moment.

Let's start with the basics -  in astrology, the sky is split into 12 parts and each is called a house. There are twelve constellations (Zodiac signs) along which the houses travel along. The positon of the moon in one’s natal chart determines even the tiniest detail about his or her life ranging from personality to ego, memory, emotions, ego, how one responds to crisis, how one expresses his or her feelings, how one deals with emergencies, conscious and even subconscious actions.

Aquarius.

This zodiac sign explains the sleeping patterns of people born between January 20th and February 18th. These people are not sleepy heads. They stay up very late thinking about new plans, strategies, people around them, the future and even about themselves and how others perceive them. Studies have not yet established a definite sleep schedule for Aquarians since they always keep procrastinating it and if they do, they sleep for the fewest hours. They snore loudly and can hardly share a bed with someone since they move a lot on the bed while sleeping. They also experience vivid dreams. Some of the remedies to their unhealthy sleeping habits for Aquarians include meditation, keeping away books and gadgets since they facilitate sleep procrastination.

Pisces.

This zodiac sign runs from February 19th and March 20th.  This is an amazing zodiac category that can enjoy sleep for up to 18 hours. Pisceans find emotional and spiritual nourishment from sleeping, which is characterized by a sequence of dreams. For them, sleep is also their private cubicle in which they find peace and refreshment from the turbulent outside world. Though they can stay up as late as 12am, they get sound sleep. Pisceans derive a lot of meaning from dreams and are a very intelligent people. Sometimes they get nightmares which can be very disturbing to them. To shift their focus, they often need to meditate or find something to read before proceeding to bed.

Aries.

This zodiac sign runs from March 21st to April 19th. People who belong to this sign are believed to exhibit very strong personality traits. They are good leaders, charismatic, determined, unwavering and passionate about getting their things done perfectly and on time. On the other hand, they are also short tempered and they strongly disagree with others on ideas. Due to their energetic and zealous nature, they sleep an average of 6-8 hours and are usually tucked up in bed at 9pm. It is believed that their minds can even work while they are asleep, thus they hardly enjoy sweet sound sleep. They are also likely to stay up until they accomplish all their tasks before sleeping. In order to have better sleep, meditation and sleeping in cooler places always works for them.

Taurus.

It dominates the period of the year between April 20th and May 20th. Here, everything is driven by beauty. People under this zodiac are sleep lovers. They enjoy sleeping in neatly done rooms and find it hard to sleep in new places. They prefer sleeping in their own beds and can sleep as early as 6pm. Once in a comfortable place, they sleep even for 25 hours. They don’t mind sleeping in good company and they are dreamers as well. They often sleep on their stomachs and spread themselves across the bed. Playing soft music just before going to bed is good for helping them relax.

Gemini.

People under this zodiac sign are born between May 21st and June 20th. Geminis are natural chatters. They love to know everything about people. When it comes to sleeping, they are very restless. This is because their minds are full of thoughts and ideas about people and issues. For this reason, they find it very hard to calm their minds to sleep. Geminis are likely to involve themselves in a chat before they sleep. Their sleep patterns are overly erratic ranging from 2 or 12 hours. They have no particular sleeping time and find it hard to even switch off their gadgets in order to sleep. They are advised not to have their gadgets during bed time and meditate before sleep in order to ease their minds.

Cancer.

This is for people born between June 21st and July 22nd. They have a good sleeping habit of 9-10 hours. They keep time when it comes to going to bed and by 11pm they are asleep. Though their sleep has phases due to their emotionally unstable nature, they don’t struggle to sleep when they are in the good times. When they are experiencing mood swings, they may lack sleep since they are fond of taking their thoughts to the bed and stressing over nothing. They also have difficulties with sleeping in new places especially while travelling. They are compassionate people and having their loved ones near them is enough reason for them to have a sound sleep. Sleeping in a neatly made room and conversing with loved ones before going to bed is good for them to have sound sleep.

Leo.

This zodiac sign is for people born between July 23rd and August 22nd. Leos have very desirable sleep habits. First, they love sleeping and they do it in cosy and neat places. Their sleep comes naturally and they don’t stay up late. They hardly take stress to bed and their best sleep moments are when they have a loved one near them to cuddle. They like sleeping on their back and they have dreams which are a picture of their thoughts. For a Leo to sleep well, they just need someone to cuddle and have some romantic talks before retiring to bed. They sleep for 7-8 hours or longer in the company of their loved ones.

Virgo.

For this zodiac, people were born between August 23rd and September 22nd. They are naturally sharp hence they spend a lot of time thinking and analysing issues as well as looking for solutions. Due to this they end up going to bed at 2am but they sleep for a very precise 8.823 hours. They often have sleepless nights when they are stressed and are also prone to dark eye circles which come with inadequate sleep. However, they love spending their nights in perfectly done interiors and neat beds. Reading before sleeping and writing all their notes down is a remedy for their sleep.

Libra.

The zodiac sign for Libra runs from September 23rd and October 22nd. Librans love having a balanced life and hence they believing in sleeping 8 hours each day. Once they don’t achieve that, they always compensate for the time. they love sleeping on neat beds and they will proceed to sleep as early as 7pm. They don’t exhibit nightmares since they take life easy and don’t like stressing over nothing.

Scorpio.

Scorpio is the zodiac sign for people born between October 23rd and November 21st. these are peculiar people who hardly enjoy sleep. They can stay up till 6am and sleep for only 1-2hours. They possess high energy levels at night and this is the very reason they cannot just sleep at night. Most of them take time to sleep during the day as it's when they are less active. Scorpios mostly suffer hypersomnia which is harmful to the health. Scorpios are normally advised to exercise and enrol for relaxing therapies that help their minds to relax.

Sagittarius.

It’s the zodiac for people who were born between November 22nd and December 21st. These are highly adventurous people who don’t care about their sleep. All they do is try to figure out life and get answers to their curious questions. They are very energetic and enjoy staying up late. Sometimes excitement about things they expect to happen to them can cause lack of sleep. They are very restless sleepers and they often experience nightmares. A typical Sagittarius person can sleep at 5am for 6-7hours. Sometimes they are advised to take a break from their normal activities and just rest as it is important.

Capricorn.

This is the zodiac sign that closes a year and it runs from December 22nd and January 19th. Here people take sleep as a routine and they do it normally. Being workaholics, they don’t see the value of sleep. They can really get stressed when faced with issues and suffer insomnia. They sleep on their backs and often stretch when they are sleeping. This means that they need sufficient sleeping space in the bedroom. sometimes they can stay up late till 3am but they sleep for 10hours.they also snore a lot.

In astrology it is believed that people of different zodiac signs have different sleeping habits and that this explains the diversity of human beings. Star signs help people appreciate their personality knowing that we are all different from each other. Understanding these personalities is very crucial in order to learn how to live with people of different character traits. Zodiac signs are also a wakeup call to us all to appreciate nature and our creation as we marvel at its unending glamour.
